Eden Acres, the Quincannon’s Orchard

If you have any familiarity with apples, you know that June is the absolute worst time of year to try to photograph an orchard. The blossoms are long past, last year’s apples are compost, and the season’s crop hasn’t begun to come on. So I was sort of relieved when the torrential rains of June 2023 forced us to push it back to late July, when there were at least some early varieties beginning to ripen. I was very grateful to the Quincannon family’s generosity in going along with this wonky story for edible MAINE. Read the web version here.
